Sleeping and Eating

Sleeping

Part of the Whitstable magic is its eclectic accommodation. Whether you want to wake up in a converted fisherman’s hut or under canvas at a luxury glamping site, the choice is yours.

We are proud to partner with Whitstable Holiday Homes to help you find the perfect base for your padel and yoga retreat. Their portfolio features the "best of the best" in town, with options ranging from dog-friendly cottages to premium seafront escapes.

Best of all? Every Down Dog attendee who books through them will be greeted by a bottle of award-winning sparkling Kent wine—the perfect way to toast to your seaside escape.

Eating

Whitstable is a food lover's dream. We don’t include any food in the retreat so you are free to sample as many places as possible. Here are a few favourites for your retreat weekend:

  • Wheelers Oyster Bar: The legendary pink storefront for the freshest catch.

  • Harbour Street Tapas: Perfect for sharing plates and vibrant flavors.

  • The Lazy Lobster: A seafood haven, nestled in a 19th century pub. We offer fresh and seasonal dishes, an exciting wine list and a fully stocked bar.

  • The Old Neptune: An absolute essential. A pub right on the sand—perfect for a sunset.

  • Grain and Hearth: An artisan bakery and cafe specialising in sourdough breads and viennoiserie; also serves gourmet breakfast and brunch.

There are several private chefs in Whitstable please get in touch if you’d like us to share details.
